How are pool pump enclosures installed and anchored?
Anchoring:
- The enclosure needs to be securely anchored to prevent it from tipping over or being moved by wind or other forces.
- If installed on a concrete pad, anchor bolts can be used. Drill holes into the concrete, insert anchor bolts, and secure the enclosure to the concrete pad using nuts and washers.
- If installed on soft or unprepared ground, you may need to use other anchoring systems such as auger-style anchors that screw into the ground and attach to the enclosure.
- Wall mounted pool pump covers have no back and rely on the rear wall or fence as a structural support. Wall mounted pool pump covers must be fixed to this rear structure.
